A chiropractic adjustment, or sometimes referred to as spinal manipulation, is a procedure in which a trained professional affects or corrects the alignment, motion and function of a vertebral joint to relieve pain and discomfort.
The average adjustment done by Dr. Zucker will last approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival, the patient will be placed in a quiet, private room designed to provide a sense of comfort, relaxation, and calmness. Hot packs will then be placed on the spine for 5-10 minutes to loosen and relax the muscles. Dr. Zucker will then provide 5-10 minutes of muscle stimulation using a massaging device. The remainder of the appointment will be devoted to soft tissue work and adjustment.
